EADA renews the international EQUIS accreditation for 5 years
EADA Business School has renewed its EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) academic accreditation for another five years. Awarded by EFMD Global (European Foundation for Management Development), it is considered the accreditation with the highest international prestige in the field of executive education. EADA has renewed its accreditation since 1999, when it was first granted this award, which places it in a select group of business schools that have been recognized for their excellence in education. In Spain, EADA is one of 4 EQUIS accredited institutions for 5 years – 3 of which is one of the strongest business education clusters in the world.
The EQUIS accreditation is one of the main quality standards that marks the qualitative turning point in the business school field, for both participants who are looking for a good programme suited to their needs as well as recruiters who take this international distinction into account. The criteria followed by the Awarding Body of EFMD Global are the strategy and positioning of the institution, the level of graduate satisfaction and professional success as well as the quality of the programmes, faculty profiles, research and infrastructure. Other important aspects are also taken into consideration such as the internationalisation of the school, its close ties with the business world and the focus on ethics and sustainability in its programmes.
Global institution connected to the business world
According to Jordi Díaz, Dean at EADA Business School, “the EQUIS re-accreditation is a recognition of EADA'S commitment to leadership. innovation and sustainability, based on a strong history, a shared culture and a committed team”.
For Ramon Noguera, Academic Director at EADA, one of the most remarkable aspects of this latest reaccreditation, has been "the evolution of our institution, which has gone from being a highly international school, with a large number of European and Latin American participants, to a global school with participants from all over the world, including Asia and North America.”
Noguera also points to the positive assessment from EFMD Global regarding the school’s close ties with the business world, “Not only do we have faculty and board members from the business environment but our participants also work on projects that respond to the real challenges faced by companies and experts from different sectors, many of whom are EADA alumni, who come to share their success stories in class.” He adds that, “the continual portfolio review of our programmes enables us to adapt to the new demands of the business world and the latest trends in management.”
Excellence in education
In Spain, EADA is one of the 4 business schools which holds the double accreditation of EQUIS and AMBA. The Association of MBAs (AMBA) is the impartial international authority on all matters relating to postgraduate business training. It aims to raise the quality of executive education and qualify the MBA programmes in the UK and Europe.
EADA also holds the ACCA accreditation, which is awarded by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants for the International Master in Accounting and Finance. In 2021, EADA has also received reaccreditation of the AQU Catalunya for another five years, which is awarded by the Agency for the Quality of the University System in Catalonia, and recognizes the quality of our university master’s programmes.
