EADA Business School, in collaboration with some of their academic partners, has launched its ReStart Scholarship Programme. The programme includes a range of 45 scholarships and is aimed at the professional collectives in Spain which have been worst hit by Covid-19. It will give them access to all of the EADA Executive Programmes. The School has undertaken this initiative to help those who have been worst affected by the current situation so that they can refresh their knowledge, reinvent themselves, improve their skills and knowledge as well as their employability.

This scholarship programme is aimed specifically at 9 different sectors and includes those on which the crisis has had the greatest impact as well as those who have been on the front line during the pandemic. Each collective will be offered two 50% scholarships and three 25% scholarships. These sectors are:

• Health care sector: General health care staff, Accident & Emergency staff, Researchers. 
• Freelance workers: Self-employed professionals who have lost their jobs and need to boost their professional career. 
• Young Talent: Young professionals with work experience in their sector. Scholarships launched by AIJEC (Associació de Joves Empresaris de Catalunya) and EADA.
• Talent in Transition: Professionals who are actively looking for work. Scholarships launched by the Bros Group consultancy and EADA.
• Tourism sector: Hotel industry professionals, catering, hospitality and travel. Scholarships launched by Horwath Htl. consultancy and EADA.
• Retail sector: Professionals including retail managers, store managers, retail key account managers, retail digital marketing managers and operations directors. Scholarships launched by Comertia (asociación catalana de la empresa familiar del Retail) and EADA.
• Foundations sector: Professionals from social entities and foundations. Scholarships launched by Coordinadora Catalana de Fundaciones and EADA.
• Cooperatives: Any professionals from the cooperative sector. Scholarship launched by COOPCAT (Confederación de Cooperativas de Cataluña) and EADA.
• Automotive sector: Professionals including engineers, process directors, maintenance managers, sales people, automotive dealers. 

The scholarship programme has been named “ReStart” to help those professionals, who are feeling the heavy economic impact of Covid-19 in their sectors, to restart, resume their activity, recover and adopt a fresh approach to their career.

To access these scholarships, candidates are required to fill in this form with the necessary information before 23th September. The selected candidates will be announced in October.

First anti-Covid support package

This is the second scholarship scheme to be launched in 2020. The first of these was launched at the beginning of the crisis in March, when the Board of Trustees of the EADA Foundation approved a range of scholarships valued at 250,000 euros. These include:

• The Impulsa scholarships Latin America: This is a joint initiative by EADA and EY which includes 20 scholarships for a 25% discount for an online master’s programme. 
• Heroes Gemba Scholarship: Two scholarships aimed at professionals who were on the front line during the pandemic. They will have the opportunity to study the Global Executive MBA at EADA Business School and its partner École des Ponts Business School.
• Mujer y Talento Scholarship in Latin America: This scholarship will involve taking part in a full-time official EADA master’s programme, and aims to promote female talent in Latin America in the areas of entrepreneurship and business management. 
• Actúa Scholarships: Aimed at professionals from the Spanish tourism sector, which has been one of the worst affected as a result of the Covid-19 crisis. EADA will award 10 scholarships with a 50% discount.
