EADA Business School launches the CSO Award 2025 to recognise the work of professionals who lead sustainability in organisations
EADA Business School has opened the call for applications for the CSO Award 2025, an award that highlights the growing role of the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) in companies. This award, framed within the CSO Day 2025 event that will take place on February 18, 2025, seeks to highlight the transformative role of these professionals in the implementation of sustainable strategies and in promoting a positive impact from companies.
The award is aimed at CSOs of medium and large companies (more than 250 employees) based in Spain, the European Union or the United Kingdom. Applications can be submitted between October 30 and December 15, 2024, both through self-nominations and through third-party nominations.
Recognition of strategic sustainability
The CSO Award 2025 has been created with the purpose of recognizing leaders who drive real and sustainable change within their organizations. According to PhD Federica Massa-Saluzzo, CSO at EADA, “the CSO ensures that solutions to improve sustainability are integrated into a global strategic vision, a key factor for companies to maintain their long-term competitiveness.”
Evaluation criteria and selection process
The applications will be evaluated by a committee of experts who will analyse the social, environmental and economic impact of the initiatives led by the CSOs. Among the aspects to be assessed are: the positioning of the candidates in professional networks, the quality and transparency of the published content and sustainability reports, as well as participation in educational events on sustainability. International achievements and membership in relevant organisations will also be considered.
Ainhoa Grandes, member of the EADA Foundation Board of Trustees, Chair of the EADA Foundation Impact Committee and Chair of the CSO Day 2025 initiative, underlines the importance of this award: “This recognition will be a tribute to the professionals who lead the change towards sustainability in their organisations, encouraging them to persevere on this path.”
Support from leading organisations
The CSO Award 2025 is supported by key organisations such as DIRSE, Skills4Impact and Roman (B-Corp), which will contribute to the dissemination and visibility of this recognition initiative for the CSO professional community during the CSO Day 2025 event, scheduled for 18 February 2025.
