Once again, EADA Business School has been recognized as one of the most transformative schools in the world, rated at level 4 in the third edition of the Positive Impact Rating (PIR) 2022. 

This rating brings business schools and students together for responsible management education, aligning with the UN Global Compact and PRME principles (Principles for Responsible Management Education). In the rating, students evaluate their business schools on a wide variety of factors, including the development of practical sustainability competencies, engagement with NGOs, the creation of social impact initiatives with local and global communities and the empowerment of students to promote sustainable initiatives.

Specifically, in the case of EADA Business Schools, students highlighted two fundamental areas: responsible leadership development as the basis of all of its programmes and the strong EADA community which organizes both academic and extracurricular activities related to social and environmental issues. 

Making a positive impact multiplier

According to Dean Jordi Díaz, “across all programmes participants take part in successive, full-immersion, leadership development modules to help them define their purpose and to implement this when leading themselves, leading teams and leading in society.” The classroom, however, is not the only learning space that helps them shape and develop that purpose. To Díaz: “Through the EADA community we also make sure that there are curricular and extracurricular experiences related to social and environmental issues, mixing different programmes and nationalities and engaging with external stakeholders. Working throughout the year as a close-knit diverse community has a multiplier effect because it enriches each individual’s views, challenges assumptions and generates accountability.”

Apart from this, EADA is committed to making a positive impact in society with faculty specialized in sustainability-related issues, a sustainable leadership pedagogical model and action learning projects through collaborations with leading organisations like Ashoka Spain, B Corp and Barcelona +B.

EADA Business School has 4 specific programmes focused on sustainability and responsible leadership:

• Master in Sustainable Business & Innovation: This programme is targeted towards students from diverse backgrounds, both cultural and academic, who aim to develop their career and skills in helping businesses and organizations to solve urgent and emerging environmental, economic, societal and welfare global challenges.
• Master in Business Innovation and Sustainability Online: This is a pioneering master's degree that offers the unique opportunity to learn how business, sustainability and innovation interact. It is taught in blended learning mode, combining online training in a completely flexible virtual environment with a classroom module aimed at developing management and leadership skills through experiential experiences.
• Postgraduate in Sustainable Transformation: It is a programme aimed at professionals who want to lead the sustainable transition of their organizations, identifying opportunities and making strategic decisions based on the measurement of their sustainable actions.
• Senior Management Program in Sustainability: For directors and senior managers who want to lead the company's strategic change towards the role of agent of environmental and social sustainability, adequately managing risk and ensuring economic sustainability within the framework of the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
