EADA, new partner of CWP cluster

17 October 2014

EADA has ratified its commitment with the corporate world by signing a collaboration agreement with Catalan WaterPartnership (CWP), a cluster where consultancies, knowledge centers, equipment manufacturers, engineering firms and other bodies related to water testing and treatment work together to come up with sustainable innovation solutions to global needs for quality water all over the world.

Through this agreement EADA intends to address the cluster’s strategic demands. “The needs that the CWP companies have are very different to those of companies in other sectors, because they are primarily related to innovation, internationalisation, people and financing”, explains Pau Roig, director of EADA’s Corporate area. In his opinion, “the challenge is to take much more advantage of the synergies between companies in the sector, because in the majority of cases they complement each other more than compete with each other given that we are dealing with a wide range of companies from environmental firms to technology firms, service and infrastructures companies, etc.”. And, he goes on to add: “Through the cluster, EADA can take on a channelling and dynamising role to come up with a comprehensive response to all these needs”.

In addition, the agreement establishes collaboration between the cluster’s companies and the EADA Entrepreneurship Center. According to Roig, “the other key objective is to further an entrepreneuring spirit inside the cluster taking advantage of the business school’s expertise in the field of entrepreneur consultancy to boost innovation and encourage the setting up of small start-ups”, to which he added: “The challenge is to identify these innovations, turn them into growth projects and accompany these start-ups throughout their growth and consolidation processes in international markets”.
