EADA defends sustainability and CSR principles for training the leaders and managers of the future

18 July 2014

Giorgia Miotto, Communication and External Relations director at EADA, attended the 1st meeting to discuss the setting up of the first PRME chapter in Spain and Portugal, held on July 10th in ESADE Business School in Madrid.

This meeting was the outcome of the commitment on the part of a dozen business schools and universities to bolster the participation of the education communities of PRME –Principles for Responsible Management in Education– on a regional level with the aim of furthering individual and collective initiatives.  More specifically, the meeting promoted the adoption of PRME Principles, which place an emphasis on learning among peers, the sharing of best practices, experiences and learnt lessons. It also created a discussion forum among PRME signatories in Spain and Portugal, who were invited to form a part of the PRME chapter in the region.

The PRME Chapters are regional platforms that promote the six PRME principles within a specific geographical area, rooting PRME within different regional and cultural contexts and helping PRME signatories to make progress in implementing these principles. The PRME chapters were officially endorsed during the Third Global Forum for Responsible Education in Management held in Rio de Janeiro, in 2012 as part of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development and attended by 400 business schools from all over the world.
