Julio Fernández, an EADA alumnum is awarded a Goya
On February 14th the Spanish Film Academy chose Nocturna as the best animated film.
Julio Fernández studied the General Management programme at EADA in 1980/81. At this year’s Goya awards ceremony he collected his fifth award to date. On this occasion for producing Nocturna, an animated film directed by Víctor Maldonado and Adrià García.
Julio is Producer and President of Filmax Entertainment, one of the chief independent Spanish audiovisual companies that creates produces, distributes and exhibits fiction and animation contents.
In addition to this, he is also a member of the Academia de las Artes y de las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España, member of the Colegio Profesional del Audiovisual de Cataluña, member of the Federación de Asociaciones de Productores Audiovisuales Españoles, Board member of the Junta Directiva de EGEDA and Trustee member of Fundación Privada ESCAC.
