David Parcerisas and Pere Girbau, new members of the board of Fundació Universitària Balmes
In the meeting held on Monday October 28th in Vic, the president of the board of Fundació EADA, Mr. David Parcerisas, and the CEO of Girbau Inc., Mr. Pere Girbau, were elected as new members of the board of Fundació Universitària Balmes, the body responsible for Universitat de Vic.
Three years ago, EADA signed an agreement of affiliation to Universitat de Vic that regulated the recognition of EADA’s masters within the European Higher Education Area. Last June, this agreement was extended to new growth opportunities for both institutions and considered the joint design of new training offers; the integration of research groups from both institutions; the development of continuing education programmes; the access to PhD programmes by former EADA students; the rotation of faculty and the promotion of internationalization. EADA was created as an independent institution both ideologically and economically. Besides appearing among the best 100 schools worldwide in the most recognized international rankings, that of The Financial Times and The Economist, EADA holds the European Quality Label -a quality accreditation awarded to institutions that meet strict EQUIS quality standards-, as well as the AMBA accreditation, awarded by the Association of MBA’s.
Regarding Girbau Inc., it is one of the leading international groups in manufacturing industrial laundry equipment. It is also one of the most internationalized companies in the region of Osona.
