International Master in Management, 20th best programme in the world
Number 1 in Spain and 6 in the world in the academic area of General Management
Number 6 in the world in the academic area of CSR
Barcelona, September 16th 2013. The International Master in Management of EADA is now in 20th place on the world ranking published today by the prestigious British daily paper the Financial Times. The master in question is a programme designed for and targeted at recent graduates and its objective is to help young graduates to take the leap into the corporate world.
In 2011 it climbed up thirteen places on the FT ranking, seven in 2012 and ten in 2013, and currently ranks among the top 20 worldwide. The FT analyses several criteria in order to draw up this management programmes ranking, such as salary, career progression, fees, the percentage of doctorates among the faculty and the presence of women, among other things.
According to Jordi Díaz, the director of EADA’s programmes and international relations, “the leap in the classification –compared to last year- is among other things due to the progress made in the Career Progression factor, which measures progression based on level of responsibility and the size of the company that graduates work for, and in this area EADA is in eleventh place”. Furthermore, there are other aspects where the EADA programme stands out such as the degree of internationalisation of the student body, which stands at 90%, the fact that 89% of graduates find employment within three months and that the students on the programmes on the whole take part in a real experience based on internships inside companies.
All in all three Spanish schools appear on the ranking; in addition to EADA, the Instituto de Empresa (IE) in Madrid and ESADE in Barcelona.
