Rita Maria Difrancesco tiene un Doctorado y un Post-Doc en Supply Chain Management de la WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management (Alemania) y un Master en Gestión de Ingeniería de la Sapienza-Universidad de Roma (Italia). Fue profesora visitante en el MIT (EE.UU.) y académica visitante en la Kellogg School of Management (EE.UU.). Antes de incorporarse al mundo académico, trabajó en los campos de gestión de proyectos, consultoría de TI y logística. Sus intereses de investigación se centran en el comercio minorista omnicanal, la gestión de devoluciones de productos, las cadenas de suministro de circuito cerrado y la sostenibilidad. Publicó y presentó su trabajo en revistas y congresos internacionales en Europa y Estados Unidos. Tiene experiencia docente internacional en los campos de operaciones y supply chain management, operaciones de comercio electrónico y sostenibilidad. Rita es Associate Professor de Gestión de Operaciones y Cadena de Suministro en el Departamento de Marketing, Operaciones y Supply Chain de EADA.
